Mediation is a conference between two or more disputing parties, moderated
by a neutral third party, and conducted in an attempt to resolve the dispute
to the satisfaction of all those involved.
Through lectures, group discussions, and practice mediations, participants
will learn how to:
- Analyze the causes of conflict.
- Deal with conflict.
- Structure the mediation process through a step-by-step problem-solving
procedure.
This training program meets the 40 classroom hours of training in
dispute resolution techniques for attorneys and non-attorneys as specified
by Texas law to practice as a mediator.
