Coaching principles practiced and perfected by athletic coaches for years motivate people and produce positive results.

Forward thinking managers have discovered that coaching skills used to create winners in athletics work in a business setting as well. Learning to coach can build a manager's effectiveness as a leader.

This course is designed to prepare managers and supervisors to step into the coaching role by building on skills they already have.

You will learn how to:

  1. Develop coaching skills to increase the personal growth, job satisfaction, and on-the- job effectiveness of employees.

  2. Choose appropriate words, tone of voice, and body language for clear, direct, appropriate communication.

  3. Provide performance feedback, encouragement, and praise to motivate employees to peak performance.

  4. Fine tune your listening skills to help build good working relationships.

  5. Confront problems and issues appropriately and effectively.
