Supervisory Development



Managing performance, delegating, and developing teamwork are essential skills for supervisors today. The supervisor's attitude can make or break the spirit of a team or department.

Through discussion of the following topics, supervisors will gain a better understanding of their roles and how to work effectively with their employees.

You will learn how to:

  1. Increase your willingness to delegate, identify tasks to be delegated, assign the appropriate degree of authority, provide adequate instructions and guidance, and develop follow-up systems.

  2. Identify and correct performance and attitude problems.

  3. Develop coaching and counseling skills to increase the personal growth, job satisfaction, and on-the-job effectiveness of employees.

  4. Set up and use a daily planning system to keep track of meetings, deadlines, schedules, and appointments.

  5. Deal with job pressures, stress, and constant change.

Course Length: 6 hours
